Four stages, in orderDistil
Flowers, herbs or baked clay are heated in a copper deg. The vapour is carried through a bamboo pipe into a bhapka, a receiver holding sandalwood oil.
Rest
The oil sits in sealed leather and glass vessels for weeks, sometimes months, until the water settles out and the scent rounds.
Blend
Single attars are combined to a fixed recipe. A mukhallat can carry a dozen of them. Each blend gets a batch number.
Bottle
Filled by hand into 12 ml glass roll-ons, or diluted for the eau de parfum range and rested again before spraying.

Dar-e-Itr means house of attar.
The name is two words. Dar is the house. Itr is the essence, the distilled oil that the word perfume comes from in Persian and Urdu. The mark above the name shows both: a flask drawn in calligraphy, with a rose and a drop of oil inside.
We keep the range small. Each scent has a fixed recipe, a note list printed on the box, and a batch number so a reorder smells like the first bottle.

Shipping, returns and care
Orders are confirmed on WhatsApp, packed in Bangalore, and dispatched across India. Prices are in INR and include GST where it applies.
How do I place an order?
Add bottles to your bag and send the order on WhatsApp. We confirm stock, share a UPI request or cash-on-delivery option, then pack. Card checkout will be added later; it is not live yet.
How long does delivery take?
Orders leave Bangalore in 2 to 3 working days after we confirm. Delivery then takes 2 to 6 days across India, depending on the pincode.
What does shipping cost?
Shipping is free on orders above ₹2,500. Below that it is ₹99 for standard delivery within India. We do not ship outside India yet.
Can I return a bottle?
Unopened bottles can be returned within 7 days of delivery. Opened bottles cannot be returned, for hygiene. If a bottle arrives damaged or leaks, write to us the same day with a photograph and we will replace it or refund.
Cancellations
You can cancel on WhatsApp until the parcel is handed to the courier. After dispatch we treat it as a return if the bottle is unopened.
Is attar alcohol-free?
Yes. Attar is aroma oil on a sandalwood or paraffin base. The eau de parfum range uses perfumer's alcohol.
Will attar stain my clothes?
Attar is oil. Roll it on skin and let it dry before you dress. On light silk or white cotton, test a hidden corner first.
How should I store a bottle?
Keep it capped, upright, away from sunlight and heat. A drawer is better than a bathroom shelf. Stored well, attar keeps for years.
Where is it made?
Oils are sourced from Kannauj and Mysore, with rose from Taif. Blending and bottling happen in Bangalore. Each bottle carries a batch number.

How Dar-e-Itr handles the little we need to take an order.
What we collect
When you write on WhatsApp, call, or send a form, we see your name, phone, and the message. Checkout also asks for an email and a delivery address so we can pack and send the bottle.
The shopping bag is saved in your browser (localStorage). We do not see it until you send the order.
What we do not collect
We do not run ads, analytics pixels, or card payments on this site. Payment, when you choose UPI, happens in your UPI app after we confirm the order. We do not store card numbers.
Who sees it
Syed Bilal at the house in J.P. Nagar. Hosting is on Vercel. The domain is registered at GoDaddy. We do not sell your details.
How long we keep it
Order notes are kept long enough to dispatch, handle a return, and issue a GST invoice if you ask for one. You can ask us to delete a WhatsApp thread after the order is closed.

Terms of sale
These terms apply to bottles sold by Dar-e-Itr from Bangalore, India.
The contract
Adding a bottle to the bag is not an order. The order is placed when you send it on WhatsApp and we confirm stock and price. We may refuse an order if a batch is finished.
Price and tax
Prices are in Indian rupees and include GST where it applies. A GST invoice is sent on request. Shipping is free above ₹2,500; otherwise ₹99 within India.
Payment
Pay by UPI after we confirm, or cash on delivery if we agree on WhatsApp. Online card checkout is not live.
Delivery and title
Dispatch in 2 to 3 working days from Bangalore, then 2 to 6 days in transit. Risk passes when the courier collects the parcel. We replace bottles that arrive leaked or broken if you write the same day with a photograph.
Returns
Unopened bottles may be returned within 7 days of delivery. Opened fragrance cannot be returned. Refunds go back by UPI to the paying number.
Fragrance
Scent is personal. Longevity and reach on the site are a guide, not a warranty. Patch-test attar and perfume on a small area first, especially on sensitive skin.
Law
